about monday... shuq's not working today. he's going to miri with his guy pals. hmm jealous! i wish i could join them. so how am i to amuse myself today?
about this time... it's 2.29am. just log off the net. guess what, the connection was hang again. ergh, hate it. i wish i could get a broadband connection, unfortunately, my ISP only provide 56k-modem connection for wireless telephone.
am typing while watching kkhh (read: kuch kuch hota hai) at the same time.. hahah... i like to juggle many stuffs at one moment! kkhh always been my fav hindi movie. the truth is, i despise bollywood movie, as they tend to be the same plot all over again. until i watch kkhh. actually, after my frens all persuaded me about 20 times, then i watched it, and my perception then changed! sadly, only fews bollywood movie are good and different, the rest still fall in the same rut. but kkhh, is definitely different. i've watched it over 30 times already, and guess what, it never failed to make my tears roll down at the end of the movie.. everytime!
shuq called at midnite, to say nite2.. so sweet :) actually i dun expect the call at all, as i know, his hp's (read: handphone's) credit is barely surviving. eventually he had toped up, and had called me!
about one race Malaysia...
i happened to hear some extract from a public debate over RTM TV1, i dun get the whole topic, but it was sth about one race malaysia, that is there's only Malaysian, no more, Malay, Chinese, or India... i don't agree with the notion at all. for me, as the world now is emerging to the borderless world, the root of everyone is so important. that is our identity.
we are the world's citizen, allright, but uniquely, we have our own root, our own origin, that is our identity. it's like cars, now cars basically categorized as the saloon car, fast car, four-wheel drive, mpv etc.. but in every category, we know that there are distinctive different brand, like mercedes, bmw, toyota, etc. the categorization is sort like our functionality, either you are a pulic servant, or a bussinessman, a policy maker, a white collar worker, engineer so forth, but the race is actually the distinctive factor of our origin. it's our identity, for god's sake! we shall understand that there's no discrimination over the race (that's what actually we should concentrate upon) i mean, either you're a malay, chinese or indian, you get the equal right of almost everything in Malaysia.
sadly that's not the case.
about MALAY...
i'm so proud of my origin, my race, MALAY. indeed, i'm a bugis malay. eventhough in this blog mostly i write in english, it is because i feel it's easier to express in english, but my major language spoken, still malay, i read malay novels, papers as well.
i dun wan to scrutinize myself into believing that if i love my malay root, then i cannot speak in english, cannot eat with chopstick, cannot indulge over sushi, cannot watch hollywood movies, dowh... that's foolish. i am a universal malay. there, commendably proclaimed.
